Elandsvallei is a Red Cross-funded facility based in the Primrose area of Germiston. In addition to the support provided by the Red Cross, we collaborate with other Rotary clubs to assist the Home through the Rotary Humanitarian Distribution Centre of South Africa (HDSA), a registered non-profit company operated by Rotary District 9400.
This support includes the provision of recycled hotel essentials such as bedding, linen, toiletries, shampoos, soaps, and cosmetics. Wheelchairs and other mobility aids are supplied when required, along with gas for cooking and heating to support the residents’ daily needs.
We also assist with maintenance and improvement projects on the premises as needed from time to time. In addition, items requested on the Home’s wish list are carefully considered and often funded by our clubs, such as the recent supply of an industrial pressure cooker for food preparation.
