The Rotary International theme for April is “Protecting the Environment”
This theme highlights Rotary’s commitment to environmental sustainability, which is officially recognized as its seventh area of focus.
Throughout the month, Rotary clubs worldwide emphasize projects that conserve natural resources and foster ecological harmony.
During Environment Month, members can focus on any of several critical initiatives:
Biodiversity & Conservation: Protecting land, coastal, marine, and freshwater ecosystems.
Climate Change: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening communities affected by climate shifts.
Waste Reduction: Organizing community cleanups (especially for beaches and waterways) and promoting recycling.
Sustainable Practices: Supporting eco-friendly agriculture, fishing, and aquaculture
