The Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon extends its sincere gratitude to all donors who assisted the Club in successfully raising the full amount of R60,000 required to fund a high school scholarship for an academically gifted young girl from a rural community, enabling her to complete the remaining four years of her secondary education.
The scholarship beneficiary is the daughter of a single parent with very limited financial means, living in a rural village with restricted access to educational opportunities. Despite these challenging circumstances, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication and academic achievement throughout her schooling.
While attending primary school, her potential was recognised by individuals involved with the Partners for Possibility NGO, who assisted her in securing a 50% bursary to attend a reputable boarding high school in an urban centre, as there was no suitable high school available near her village.
The Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon, together with supporters and partners, committed to raising the remaining 50% of the required school fees to ensure she has the opportunity to complete her high school education successfully. This support not only helps provide access to quality education, but also brings her one step closer to obtaining a tertiary qualification and building a brighter and more financially secure future.
