The Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon supports casual day on the 1st September each year with their donations going to Cresset House in Glen Austin, Midrand. The very worthy focus of Casual Day is to support the rights of persons with disabilities to education, housing, training, accessibility, employment… in other words, full inclusion in society.
For 23 years “Casual Day” has been reserved as the first Friday in September and wearing a “Casual Day” sticker gives your the right to go to work dressed in outfits from the fun to the fantastical. This year it’s Friday 1 September 2017.
As Rotarians, we encourage all South Africans to make a donation of R10 each and get their Casual Day stickers from one of the over 500 participating organisations for persons with disabilities or from the tills of any of the following shops Edgars, Jet, JetMart, Boardmans, CNA, Red Square and Legit. Absa outlets. Game and DionWired stores. Shoprite and Checkers stores, before Casual Day on 1 September 2017.
It’s easy and convenient to participate or make a donation to this worthy cause by visiting http://www.casualday.co.za
