A generous donation of LEGO kits provided by the MRC (Mikroskil Robotic Centre) LEGO Educational programme has facilitated the Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon’s onward donations to a large number of children at primary school level.
The LEGO kit donations support a Rotary International key focus of promoting basic education and literacy by enabling learning to take place through construction rather than instruction, not only stimulating and encouraging learning, but accelerating the conceptualisation process and encouraging children to become more inventive, curious and creative.
The broad reach of the LEGO Educational kit donations would not have been possible without Knights Pendragon’s partnerships with the NGO, Doodle Your Future, who facilitated the LEGO donation to Oasis Haven Children’s Home and the NGO Adventures for Love who facilitated the LEGO donations to Diana Institute in Dullstroom and Skeerpoort primary school learners.
A further LEGO donation was made to the children at Bethany Home for Abused Women, a charity that Knights Pendragon have a long standing relationship with.
